As a major IUCN French committee partner and participant at the IUCN World Conservation Congress, L’OCCITANE joins forces with global thought-leaders to drive and influence vital conservation efforts. Through its participation in the CEO Summit, Forum and Exhibition, L’OCCITANE demonstrates its commitment, and by sharing examples of its innovative programmes and solutions, confirms the impact companies can have on the preservation and regeneration of biodiversity.
L’OCCITANE has a long-standing partnership with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in France. The company takes part in the IUCN World Conservation Congress in order to share, learn and build global coalitions which contribute to pushing a nature-positive approach and an associated paradigm shift that will impact our business and nature itself. Because nature is our shared wealth. As an exhibitor at the IUCN Congress, L’OCCITANE will showcase its efforts to protecting and restoring biodiversity and mitigating the climate crisis. Specifically, it will share its initiatives to sustainably source ingredients, protect species and varieties of plants, cultivate fair relations with its partners and suppliers of natural raw materials – in many cases family-owned farms – as well as its actions to reduce waste and prevent pollution, thus demonstrating how business and nature conservation come together.
