Within the framework of the Marplasticcs project and the Plastic Waste Free Islands project, The Economic Knowledge Unit is conducting a series of analyses on the impact that plastic leakage in the ocean has on the fishery sector in a selection of countries or regions (Antigua and Barbuda, Fiji, Grenada, Samoa, Saint Lucia, Gulf of Thailand, Vanuatu, and Vietnam). The final goal of this work will be to perform cost-benefit analyses of policies, which aims to reduce marine plastic pollution.
