The IUCN French Committee’s programmes are devoted to policies linked to biodiversity, species, protected areas, ecosystems, environmental education, French overseas territories and international cooperation. Thanks to its 5 commissions and its 11 working groups, bringing together these bodies, experts and partners, the IUCN French Committee, prepares inventories, makes recommendations and manages projects to bring about change in policies, to generate knowledge and to implement actions in favour of biodiversity conservation.

As part of the preparation for the IUCN World Conservation Congress, the IUCN French Committee is coordinating the contributions to this event by French members and experts. It is also undertaking actions to mobilise the various stakeholders and the general public as widely as possible in order to conserve biodiversity.
