Mission: Half Earth--Learning from the Overview Effect

We all want to explore the earth--but what about from space? How would going to space change you? Come hear how astronauts were changed, and committed to conservation. This global group of astronauts will share the impact of space exploration on their world view and how it drove them to their new Mission: Half-Earth. Mission: Half Earth aims to unite the goals of planetary stewardship across the Paris Climate Agreement, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), and the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) under one umbrella narrative in the pivotal 2020 year. These astronauts will share their experience seeing the earth from space and how that shaped their world view with a new found urgency to have a unified call to protect our home.
