Coenraad Krijger is Director of IUCN NL, the office of the Netherlands National Committee of IUCN. IUCN NL brings together and supports cooperation among the IUCN member organisations in the Netherlands, including leading green NGOs, knowledge institutions and the Dutch Government, and propagates the IUCN vision and standards in The Netherlands Kingdom. A project organsation with a track-record of >25 years partnering with civil society organisations in the Netherlands, Africa, Asia and Latin America, IUCN NL is specialized in multi-stakeholder, integrated solutions for conservation and sustainable use of nature.

Coenraad was trained as ecologist (MSc, PhD), with fieldwork experience in Africa, Middle East and Latin America. Before joining IUCN he worked in international science and innovation policy linking research and societal challenges, notably sustainable development.
