People are communicators by nature. We have used stories as a way of transmitting messages or events from one generation to another, creating a close relationship between our lives and the stories we hear and tell. Today, the enormous amount of information we are exposed to has dramatically changed how we tell stories. It is no longer a matter of sharing stories but doing it in a creative way that captures the attention of a saturated audience. Any movement, campaign, or initiative needs to create content that can successfully generate lasting emotions. The use of storytelling is a powerful tool if we manage to do it right. Stories must engage and motivate, be easy to remember and share, have a clear purpose, and always build trust. Inspired by NatureForAll, The Nature Storybook Toolkit was created to enable environmentalists worldwide to tell and share their stories, inspiring love of nature and actions to protect it.
