Mr Emmanuel FOURMANN

Graduate from Paris University and the French National School for Statistics, and LSE alumni. After 11 years on macroeconomics and public finances, he joined the AFD in 2000, to work on African economies and debt reduction. He held various operational positions in AFD representations (Cameroon, Madagascar) and at HQ in Paris (country manager for China). TTL since 2014, he manages Forest & Biodiversity projects in Asia (China, India, Indonesia), the Mediterranean (Turkey, Lebanon), Africa (CAR, FTNS), Indian Ocean (Madagascar, FAPBM) and the Caribbean (Haiti, CBF). Former member of the Board of the FTNS (Tri-national of the Sangha) and former president of its investment committee, he is AFD focal point for Conservation Trust Funds. He is currently managing a regional project COPERNICEA, implemented by the Observatoire du Sahara et du Sahel (OSS based in Tunis) applying the Ecosystemic Natural Capital Accounting (ENCA) method to six African countries.
