Luciano is a biologist and a geographer with a Master’s degree in Protected Areas. As Protected Area Manager, Luciano addressed land management processes in two different opportunities in Minas Gerais, Brazil. He also worked as volunteer in Protected Areas from Brazil, Peru and Portugal and studied in Ireland and Spain. Luciano currently works as Participatory Management Analyst at the Mamirauá Institute for Sustainable Development, aid to strengthening associativism skills in local communities in the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest. He is a founding member of the Young Leaders in Protected and Conserved Areas of Latin America and the Caribbean Network - Rellac-Jovens, an honorary member of the ICCA Consortium and a member of the World Commission on Protected Areas/IUCN.
