Nature’s Technical Support

This session will explore how Project Learning Tree (PLT), the award-winning environmental education initiative of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, uses technology to promote Environmental Education. The ironic twist: the digital tools are used to get educators and youth outside. In this session we will introduce you to PLT's partnership with the US Forest Service and our shared goal of getting more young people outdoors by leveraging the power of technology. This includes sharing our recently released professional development for Explore Your Environment: K-8 Activity Guide, the Green Jobs Quiz, Teaching with i-Tree, and how we connect with our broad network to bring relevant online resources to our broad networks.
