Stories and experiences of the study on "Contributions of Indigenous traditional knowledge for conservation and natural resources: Legal opportunities and challenges in Asia, Africa and Latin America" with examples from Nepal, Kenya and Guatemala led by Chairs of IUCN CEESP SPICE will be shared to show, how indigenous peoples at the community level have been continuing their traditional knowledge and cultural practices despite being hit by climate change impacts and other modern development projects and conserving the natural resources, biodiversity and ecosystem. This message is important to be shared among the policy makers, professional and youth to be aware on the values and concept of indigenous peoples and make it as theme of the climate change discourse and necessary actions to respect and protect indigenous peoples' customary institutions, knowledge and self governance systems.
