EcoMove: Achieving Climate Adaptation by Relocating Ecosystems | A Dutch SDG Moonshot Prize winning idea that evolved into an effective communication tool

In this session, we will discuss a radical way to minimise biodiversity loss caused by climate change. Due to our changing climate along with urbanisation, ecosystems are no longer able to adapt to rapid environmental shifts and biodiversity plummets as a result. However, biodiversity can be preserved if it were possible to relocate ecosystems in such a manner that the species match with the climate. Ecomove regards ecosystems all over the world as part of an enormous jigsaw puzzle where climate change has caused the individual pieces to become mixed up. With EcoMove, we want to literally move said pieces in order to complete the puzzel that is our planet.
