Minister Plenipotentiary, Special Advisor of HSH the Sovereign Prince on environmental issues, Principality of Monaco
Bernard Fautrier has been Minister for public works and social affairs in the Monaco Government, and Minister in charge of International Cooperation for Environment and Development. He chaired, the Barcelona Convention for the Protection of the Mediterranean. From 2006 to 2019, he was Head of missions to the Prime Minister for sustainable development and Vice President and CEO of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. Since 2018, he co-chairs the International Coral Reef Initiative (ICRI), with Australia and Indonesia. He chairs the “MedFund” aiming at financing the development of marine protected area in the Mediterranean Sea and “BeMed”, an initiative to limit plastic pollution. Since 2019, he is the Special Advisor of H.S.H. The Sovereign Prince on environmental issues.
