Chief representative for China, ClientEarth

Dimitri de Boer is co-founder and chief representative of ClientEarth’s representative office in Beijing, leading a team of legal experts to advance environmental governance and rule of law. He is also special advisor and member of the chief advisor’s group of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED), Team Leader of the EU – China Environment Project and international coordinator of the Green Development Guidance project for greening the Belt and Road Initiative.

His key work includes:

• Support in the development and implementation of environmental and climate-related laws and regulations with the Ministry of Ecology and Environment;
• Support to the world’s largest environmental judges and prosecutors capacity building programme, in cooperation with the Supreme People’s Court, and Supreme People’s Procuratorate
• Providing financial support to Chinese environmental NGOs
