Dr Jérôme Noël PETIT
Pew Bertarelli Ocean Legacy, The Pew Charitable Trusts
Jérôme directs the Pew Bertarelli Ocean Legacy's work in France. He holds a PhD in Life Sciences, a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences and a Master's degree in Political Sciences. He has fifteen years of technical and political experience in international biodiversity governance. Jérôme previously worked with the European Commission managing projects financed by the European Union in developing countries and representing the EU during negotiations under the Convention on Biological Diversity. Before that, he coordinated biodiversity inventories in French Polynesia with the University of California, Berkeley, and worked with the local government on a climate change baseline study. Jérôme also worked with the International Union for Conservation of Nature in Brussels on EU overseas territories and at various research centers and organizations in Australia, Burkina Faso and France.
