Mrs Marie-Eve MARCHAND
Business Manager and Strategies, IUCN WCPA Beyond the Aichi Targets Task Force
Marie-Eve is a system entrepreneur who grew up in Quebec and call Banff National Park home. She is the Business Manager and Strategy for the UICN WCPA Beyond the Aichi Task Force working globally on setting global goals for people, nature and climate and also works on the implementation of the Buffalo Treaty with over thirty indigenous communities from Western Canada and USA and with multiple stakeholders across North America on bison restoration for over a decade. She is also the Chair of the IUCN Green List Expert Group in Quebec, member of the IUCN Green List Francophone Network and the President of the Bow Valley Food Alliance working at changing food system towards food sovereignty in a mountain environment.
She received the national Golden Leaf Award for her work to protect the last undammed river in Southern Quebec, and she lived, studied, or worked in Jamaica, United Kingdom, Italy, Cameroon, Colorado, USA and across Canada.
