Mr Renaud MUSELIER

Renaud Muselier is President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region since 2017, re-elected in June 2021. He was President of Régions de France from 2019 to 2021, and is now its Deputy President. As doctor of medicine, he is very attached to his native city, Marseille, where he has been elected to the municipal council on several occasions. He was elected to the National Assembly from 1993 to 2012 and to the European Parliament (2014-2019). He was appointed Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs from 2002 to 2005. Since his arrival at the head of the Region, Renaud Muselier wants the Region Sud to be exemplary in terms of the environment with "une Cop d'avance"! With his majority, he has set up a Climate Plan to which the collectivity devotes nearly a third of its annual budget. Act 1 of the Mediterranean of the Future, in 2017, focused on strengthening cooperation for the protection of natural heritage in the Mediterranean.
