Senior Associate, World Resources Institute

Ruth Noguerón is a Senior Associate at the World Resources Institute. She splits her time between Global Forest Watch and the Forest Legality Initiative. Ruth has conducted research and managed projects in Canada, the U.S., Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, Colombia, and Guyana. Part of her work focuses on promoting the use of satellite forest monitoring data and other technological tools in forest management, conservation, and forest legality decision-making processes. This includes identifying and documenting the enabling conditions for their widespread adoption and promoting uses to combat environmental crimes.
