Scott HENDERSON
Vice President and Sustainable Landscapes and Seascapes Lead, Conservation International
Scott Henderson serves as Conservation International’s Vice President and institutional Lead for CI’s Sustainable Landscapes and Seascapes Initiative. In this role Scott is responsible for guiding CI’s global landscape and seascape strategy, shepherding progress in CI’s portfolio of 16 priority geographies and developing external partnerships with other organizations dedicated to land and seascape approaches. Before assuming this role Scott led CI’s Eastern Tropical Pacific Seascape program out of Galapagos, Ecuador, where he was responsible for developing multi-country marine strategies, building teams to deliver on those strategies, fundraising and communicating results to build awareness of marine conservation issues. He was directly involved in the creation of over 2.5 million hectares of marine protected areas in the ETPS and has co-published numerous research articles regarding ocean conservation and threatened marine life.
