Prof. Tero MUSTONEN
Chair, Snowchange Cooperarive
Tero Mustonen is a winter seiner (professional fisherman) at the Snowchange Cooperative. He is also a geographer, and currently the Lead Author for the IPCC AR6. Mustonen has led restoration and research programmes in some of the most complex and remote parts of the planet, including NE Siberia, Greenland, Canada, and Boreal Finland. He specializes in Arctic biodiversity and impacts to Indigenous and local communities and nomadic societies of the Arctic. He also co-leads a large-scale restoration action called the Landscape Rewilding Programme.
Recently he was appointed the to Climate Crisis Advisory Group, led by Sir David King.
