Why attend
This 18 posters exhibition presentation at 14h30 of 06/09 at the doors of Hall 1 of the congress will enhance vivid conservation of areas and territories conserved by local communities in understudied regions of Europe and the Mediterranean, providing successful, concrete and inspirational examples from academics and community representatives.
HideDescription
This session presenting an exhibition of 18 panels of A0 size in front of Hall 1 on Mediterranean Mountain Pastoral Commons, will bring together scholars and community representatives, whose work and life involve territories and areas conserved by local communities (https://cpm.osupytheas.fr/index.php/en/accueil-en/) from the European and Mediterranean region. In terms of nature conservation and socio-ecological resilience, these systems are also really efficient. This session will enable exchange among community representatives and experts, comparing four emblematic commons from Morocco, Spain, Montenegro and Turkey, and will serve as first dish to the thematic session that will follow just after at room H8-4 Martinique (4 pm – 5:30 pm): https://www.iucncongress2020.org/programme/official-programme/session-43277.
