Mr Milan SEKULOVIĆ

Journalist, Save Sinjajevina Civic Initiative

Milan Sekulović is a Montenegrin journalist, a son of Sinjajevina pasturelands (one of Europe’s largest mountain grasslands), a civic-environmental activist, and the Secretary General of the Save Sinjajevina association, which started in 2018 as an informal group of citizens that has formalized into an organization that is now growing and intensively fighting to protect this pastureland and promote its traditional dwellers, most notably against a military ground that has been inaugurated in this pastureland in 2019, but also against any top-down decision on their territory and their nature, like protected areas plans proposed in the past, without the local communities’ co-design and co-governance.
